IFIX_Proficy Change Management
Proficy Change Management provides the functionality to manage and
maintain programs and projects in a manufacturing environment to improve
plant uptime, enforce good engineering practice and reduce risk. Using
Version Control, Security, Audit Trailing, and scheduled verifications, you can
get a handle on what’s happening in your plant.
iFIX 4.0 and Proficy Change Management together provide a powerful way
to manage your GE Fanuc HMI/SCADA applications and help make sure you
never experience lost files and inability to recover from a disaster again.
Proficy Change Management is also designed to be open and flexible interfacing
with a variety of software and hardware products from various
vendors in the automation industry including GE Fanuc, Rockwell, Siemens,
Schneider and more.

Proficy HMI/SCADA – iFIX 4.0
This new tool enables users to browse data sources (PLCs and/or PLC
Programs), identify variables and data structures, then automatically configure
a driver for communications. iFIX Process Database blocks enable signal
conditioning and alarming with no typing required. Connecting to PLC data
sources is simple and error free, requiring no more than a few mouse clicks.
The discovery from a Siemens Step 7 program file is delivered on the iFIX 4.0
product CD. Additional discovery options will be delivered as part of
HMI/SCADA productivity packs and on the GlobalCare support site. |

The Convergence of FIX with Proficy HMI/SCADA – iFIX
Great news for HMI/SCADA customers! Our FIX and Proficy HMI/SCADA – iFIX applications have finally
been brought together, thanks to an exciting new release of the Proficy HMI/SCADA – iFIX module which
includes the classic FIX desktop operator interface environment. Users of both applications can benefit
greatly from this enhancement, which combines many of the latest features and mainstream technology
of our Proficy HMI/SCADA – iFIX module with the traditional FIX desktop that customers have relied
upon for over 20 years.
This important release effectively bridges the gap between the two technologies, enabling FIX customers
to take advantage of many of the advanced database and connectivity features of Proficy HMI/SCADA –
iFIX, while continuing to view and control their plant-wide processes in the FIX desktop environment.
Best of all, this simple add-on is transparent to your existing infrastructure, allowing you to continue
leveraging your current HMI/SCADA investments without having to re-configure your system. |
